Good and regular maintenance of your carpet will lengthen its life expectancy and will ensure it will look its best for as long as possible. We would advise you to vacuum the carpet with a suction head which has a rotating brush.
The brush should not be touching the pile material, but rotate just above it. Such an accessory can often be used independently from your vacuum cleaner and is available as a separate item.
Stains and dirt will damage the look of your carpet. Preventing stains and dirt is the best remedy. We carried out research together with a company called James (www.james.eu) into the removal of stains and have extensively tested their products on our carpets. The removal of stains rarely results in any problems in practice, providing the cleaning instructions are followed correctly.
The right fitting method and ensuring the right underlay is used will lengthen the life of your carpet and, more importantly, will have a positive effect on maintaining its appearance. We would advise you to have a good quality underlay fitted which has constant restorative properties.
A pure new wool carpet can be perfectly combined with underfloor heating. The right humidity levels (at least 50%) will ensure the heat can effectively be transported and the carpet will stay in a good condition.
